Our client
is a national service provider, delivering major infrastructure programmes in
the utilities, rail and renewable energy market. An opportunity has now arisen
for an SQE Advisor / Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a
contract basis. Whilst the opportunity is initially available for a 6 month
period, there may be potential for this to be extended.
In this role you
will be responsible for ensuring the establishment, implementation, management
and monitoring of safety, quality and environmental systems and processes, with
a view to achieving continuous improvement, risk reduction and a safe working
environment on site.
As an SQE Advisor / Health & Safety Advisor
your duties will include:
- promoting and managing our client's policies
and procedures, and best practices
- undertaking safety, quality and
environmental (SQE) audits/inspections on projects and sites
- undertaking
accident and incident investigations
- indentifying and implementing SQE
initiatives to ensure continuous improvement
- advising the management team
on SQE issues
To be considered for this position, you must have
experience in a similar Health & Safety role gained within the construction
industry. You must also hold a minimum of NEBOSH or equivalent.
As an SQE
Advisor / Health & Safety Advisor, you should also be a team player with the
ability to communicate at all levels. Good organisational skills are also
important, as is the ability to undertake audits and inspections.
Experience in the utilities sector would be beneficial to your
application, as would a CSCS, EUSR or other specialist qualification.
