Finance Manager / Financial Accountant Swansea, Wales Circa £25,000 Plus Benefits Our client provides much needed support and information to women and children in the Swansea area who have experience of domestic abuse, past or present. As a specialist domestic abuse charity, their services include: providing refuge and safe house facilities, outreach support for women and their children in the community, and Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) support. An opportunity has now arisen for a Finance Manager / Financial Accountant to join their team. Reporting to the Director you will be responsible for managing the implementation, development and maintenance of financial systems in order to produce timely, accurate information. You will also co-ordinate volunteer activities and, when required, as part of the senior management team will provide cover for the Director and Team Leaders - to the extent that training and experience allow. Applying your proven experience, as the Finance Manager / Financial Accountant your role will span strategic, financial and leadership duties, including: - producing appropriate financial management information for the strategic business plan and budgetary control - with stakeholders, developing project proposals and business plans to support the expansion of services - working with the director on funding applications to ensure projects are properly costed and realistic - ensuring the accurate preparation of financial and statutory accounts - maintaining accurate information for treasury management, payroll and PAYE - building, leading and motivating the team - designing, delivering and evaluating training to stakeholders and partner organisations To be considered for this position, you must have experience in a similar role, and may hold an accountancy qualification, such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent and be proficient in Sage or similar. The Finance Manager / Financial Accountant will also be an excellent communicator with a highly organised approach, effective leadership skills and commercial acumen.
