Asset Manager - Engineering
Farnborough, Hampshire
c£60,000 Plus Car Allowance, Pension
Our client is a groundbreaking provider of defence and security technology-based solutions. An opportunity has arisen for an Asset Manager to join their team.
Within this role, you will be tasked with leading a team of asset management specialists that are based at sites across the UK.
As the Asset Manager you will be responsible for the entire assets portfolio. Setting and managing performance standards, you will deliver a safe, efficient, and cost effective maintenance service. The assets portfolio must support training needs and you must manage the through life cycle. Assets range from aircraft to tanks to simulation facilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintenance planning and ensuring the availability of assets necessary for training delivery
- All policy, process, standards, and procedures related to training assets
- Managing IT systems, personnel, and plant/equipment resources in respect to the training team
- Maintaining contracts and budgets related to training assets
- Liaising with suppliers to ensure asset availability for training
To be considered for this position you must have previous asset management experience gained within an engineering environment. You must also hold an engineering degree (or equivalent).
As the Asset Manager, you will be an influencing leader, comfortable with operating at senior levels. You will have a proven ability to manage and develop the potential and performance of others.
A background in defence and security is not essential, though any experience in this field would be beneficial to your application. Of much greater importance is experience in managing assets valued in the millions and large scale asset expertise. Backgrounds of interest could include utitlities, rail, and airlines.
