An opportunity has arisen for a Corporate, Professional and Institutional (CPI) Sales Manager to join their team. This role would suit an experienced sales manager looking for a new challenge or more responsibility. As a Retail Sales Manager you will be responsible for selling books, maps and documents to public and private sector companies, including universities and colleges, solicitors, and the NHS as well as many other businesses. Specifically, you will be tasked with liaising with existing customers and prospective clients and developing new business opportunities whenever possible. Your main task is to ensure continued profitable sales growth through excellent account management and customer service. This will involve working with librarians, faculty budget holders and buyers within Universities and colleges; librarians and supplies departments within the NHS and central and local government departments; and buyers for a huge array of businesses. Your duties will include: - Coaching and supporting your department team - Ensuring all CPI processes are carried out accurately and efficiently - Exploiting all potential sales opportunities - Support in identifying products and services to be marketed by all the B2B departments in shops in the region To be considered for the role of Retail Sales Manager, you must have one or all of the following: - A background in retail management - Proven experience in a sales environment - Experience of business to business (B2B) sales or negotiation Additionally, you should have excellent communication and organisational skills, previous experience of managing a budget and the ability to build strong relationships with a wide range of people. Although not necessary, experience of working within book retail and sales, would be beneficial to your application.
