Geotechnical Laboratory Commissioning Engineer
Hook, Hampshire
£22,000 - £28,000 Plus Annual Non Contractual Bonus, 20 Days' Holiday Plus Bank Holidays (rises by 1 day a year, up to 25 days), Free Lunch
Our client is the world leader in the manufacture of laboratory and field testing equipment. Established for over 30 years, they provide state of the art hardware and software solutions for geotechnical engineers and geologists. Due to extensive growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Geotechnical Laboratory Commissioning Engineer to join their team.
This position would suit someone with a geotechnical background who has used this knowledge in a laboratory materials testing environment.
As the Geotechnical Laboratory Commissioning Engineer, you assist with commissioning and testing new and existing products prior to shipping. You will also be required to carry out installation and systems training at customer sites both in the UK and abroad.
Your responsibilities will include:
- De-bugging and problem solving issues with customer systems and products
- Preparing user guides and handbooks for existing and new products
- Testing products, ensuring that they are in full working order
To be considered for this role of you will need a geotechnical background. Applicants without commercial experience but with a strong degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject will also be considered.
At a minimum, however, the successful Geotechnical Laboratory Commissioning Engineer will have experience in:
- Geotechnical testing equipment
- Geotechnical laboratory testing
- Electro-mechanical assembly
Our client is looking for a reliable, technically minded individual, with strong communication skills. Additionally, you will need good problem solving and excellent analytical capabilities.
