Controls Systems Engineer Ely, Cambridgeshire £20,000 - £30,000 DOE Plus Stakeholder Pension Scheme Our client solves complex manufacturing problems by applying advanced automation. Using latest technology and techniques, they provide innovative solutions for process automation and manufacturing applications across many sectors. Due to further growth, they are now looking to recruit a Controls Systems Engineer to join their team. For this position our client is looking to recruit someone with experience of developing custom automation or special purpose machinery, to play a key role. As a Controls Systems Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring customer projects are designed to exacting standards and are delivered on time, within budget. Working within a team environment, you will be required to take an innovative approach and work confidently throughout the development lifecycle (design, build, test and delivery). Your duties will include: - interpreting user requirement specifications to produce functional design specifications - using AutoCAD electrical design tools to produce individual drawings and drawing packs - producing software to company quality standards - producing cost estimates for parts and assemblies - communicating with customers to ensure design solutions are understood To be considered for this position, you must have: - experience in a similar role, developing custom automation or special purpose machinery - a degree or HND (or equivalent) in engineering, ideally electronic - knowledge of Siemens and/or Mitsubishi components and machinery Additionally, as a Controls Systems Engineer you will need to demonstrate a high level of IT literacy, good communication skills and a strong desire to succeed. Experience within the pharmaceutical and or medical device markets would be beneficial to your application, as would knowledge of VB.NET.
