An opportunity has now arisen for a talented Sales & Marketing Executive to join their team. This role would suit a proven sales and/or marketing professional with a background in the haulage industry, looking to further develop their career and earning potential with a highly successful company. As a Sales & Marketing Executive you will be responsible for planning and carrying out direct marketing and sales activities, in order to develop sales to UK major accounts and specifiers. Whilst initially this role will not involve people management, over time you will have the opportunity to recruit and lead a team around you. As such, management skills and experience would be useful. Your duties will include: - maintaining and developing a customer and prospect database - planning and carrying out direct marketing activities - developing ideas and creating offers for direct mail and marketing to major accounts - responding to, and following up, sales enquiries by post, telephone and visits (will involve UK wide travel) - maintaining and developing customers through planned account support - managing the external marketing agency's telemarketing and research activities To be considered for this position, you must have sales and/or marketing experience and a background within the haulage industry. You will also need to demonstrate a self-driven, results-orientated approach with a clear focus on high quality and business profit. Additionally, as the Sales & Marketing Executive you should be an excellent communicator who is comfortable dealing with senior level contacts. A full driving licence is also essential, as is a good level of computer literacy. The ideal candidate will be keen for new experiences, responsibility and accountability. Whilst not essential, a degree (or equivalent) would be beneficial to your application, as would a track record of managing a team. Candidates must live within a commutable distance of Castleford, or be willing to relocate.
