and infrastructure solutions to the modern UK
insurance broking sector. Every system is written in-house and tailored to
individual client requirements. An opportunity has arisen for a Software
Developer to join their team.
This is the ideal role for a developer with
excellent VB.NET and VB6 skills, looking to develop their career within a
leading company.
As a Software Developer, you'll be responsible for
supporting the development of our client's insurance software.
Joining
the development team, you will be involved in all stages of the software
lifecycle. Working in a fast paced environment, you will be tasked with the
development and maintenance of both new and existing software.
To be
considered for the role of Software Developer, you will need to have solid
experience in VB.NET and Visual Basic 6.
You will also need to be a team
player and have excellent communication skills. An attention detail and an
ability to work to tight deadlines are also necessary.
Although not
essential, the ideal candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent) in a related
subject and have experience of developing desktop and web applications in Visual
Studio NET.
Additionally, knowledge of any of the following would be
beneficial:
- Transact SQL
- XML or ADO.NET
- JavaScript, web
services or Ajax
