Our client is one of the UK's leading employers. They are now looking to recruit a Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager (Electrical and Mechanical) to join their busy Wednesbury site. In this role, the duties of the Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager will range from organising the engineering department, ensuring efficiency targets are met, running the planned maintenance system, arranging shift cover, to covering breakdowns and shifts where required. To succeed as a Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager, ideally you will possess qualifications to City and Guilds standards in either electrical or mechanical engineering - though these aren't essential as training will be given in all areas of the process. You will also have some experience with departmental management and be willing to learn. Experience with any of the following disciplines would be an advantage: - Steam plant maintenance - Compressors and pneumatics - Electrical control circuits, motors etc - Hydraulic systems - Water pumps, pipe work systems - Planned Preventative Maintenance Systems - IT skills covering Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
