Business Development Manager
Battersea, London £20,000 - £26,000 Basic (OTE £40,000) Plus 20 Days' Holiday (increasing with service up to 25) Are you looking for a role that combines your sales experience with your interest in the Arts? Looking to move into advertising sales or print sales? If so, this could be the role for you. Our client is the UK's leading specialist design house and printer for theatres, arts organisations and the entertainment industry. They produce theatre programmes, posters, leaflets and brochures of all kinds; offer web design and maintenance; and provide associated services including advertising, design and copywriting. They are now looking to recruit a number of enthusiastic Business Development Managers to join their team. If you're great on the phone, driven and eager to develop your sales career - this is a role not to be missed. As a Business Development Manager you'll be responsible for selling advertising and/or print in the company's nationwide theatre programmes and to arts organisations. Focusing on new business and account management, you'll sell space in the company's print programmes for many London theatres and concert halls, as well as providing print for art galleries, museums and other Arts organisations. Your work will be largely be telephone and email based, researching leads and following them up; but you should expect to make personal visits to existing and potential clients as required. For the right person, the career prospects are endless! At present they do not have a permanent Sales Manager, so learn the job, prove yourself indispensable, and the sky is the limit. To be considered, you must have business to business (B2B) sales experience, a good level of computer literacy and a great work ethic. The ideal candidate will also be interested in the Arts, and will have the ability to talk to people in theatres, galleries and museums, in an informed way and with an instinctive appreciation of their needs and priorities. Any advertising sales or printing experience would be of benefit, but is not essential as training will be provided.
