Control, Electrical & Instrument Design Engineer - CE&I Sellafield, Cumbria £31,281 - £40,356 DOE Plus Bonus Scheme, Benefits Package Our client is one of the most complex and compact nuclear sites in the world, spanning the entire history of the UK's civil nuclear industry. They deliver nuclear decommissioning, waste management and commercial operations. An opportunity has now arisen for a Control, Electrical & Instrument Design Engineer to join their team. In this role you will be responsible for designing new plant and equipment based at the company's Sellafield site. Thinking beyond the rigid confines of repetitive design, you will provide innovative solutions to the exacting demand of CE&I engineering within the nuclear industry. Working within a team, as an Control, Electrical & Instrument Design Engineer your duties will include: - Providing key design authority support to assure the safety and quality of design solutions - Leading design teams in the provision of new facilities - Working closely with external contractors, and supervising and delivering core design activities This role requires the ability to employ innovative new technologies and solutions, working on a range of areas including: programmable electronic systems, process instrumentation, safety CE&I systems, communications and CCTV, sampling & analytical instruments, and environmental monitoring. To be considered for this position, you must have: - A CE&I (Control Electrical and Instrumentation) based engineering qualification - Professional Engineering status (or be working towards obtaining it) - Lateral thinking skills Whilst not essential, a CE&I engineering background gained in a nuclear, chemical or heavy industrial environment would be beneficial to your application.
