Our client is a well established international supplier of supervisory computer control systems to the packaging and distribution industries. With over 200 systems installations world-wide, they have a reputation for excellent customer service. They're currently looking to recruit a System Engineer to join their team.

As a System Engineer, you will assist in the installation, commissioning and testing of our client's industrial control systems. This will involve visiting client sites to survey and design site specific systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Creating system documentation, including electrical CAD drawings, wiring and circuit diagrams
- Designing, building and testing electrical panels
- Training users in the system and providing technical support
- Configuring Windows PCs with specific settings and installing system software

This position will involve extensive travel abroad. Spending two to three weeks away while installing systems on-site, the successful candidate will be away from home at least three months per year.

To be considered for the role of System Engineer, you must have an HNC or ONC qualification (or equivalent) in electrical engineering. You must also be culturally aware, have strong communication skills and be customer focused.

You will need to have a professional manner and be able to work within a demanding environment. Excellent organisational skills and an attention to detail are also necessary, as is the ability to prioritise and use your initiative.

Although not essential, the ideal System Engineer will have:

- Customer service experience
- Experience of installing electrical equipment
- An ability to speak another language
- Experience in using AutoCAD
