Buying & Production Manager - Toys/Gifts Industry (Product Development) London EC2 £25,000 - £30,000 Plus 25 Days' Holiday Our client is a leading product design company. Specialising in innovative gifts, they're known for their fun product concepts and ability to transform ideas into exciting new consumer products. An opportunity has now arisen for a Buying & Production Manager to join their team. This role would suit an experienced buyer or production professional looking to further develop their career with a forward thinking company in a great working environment. In this hybrid role, as a Buying & Production Manager you will be responsible for managing the production and product development of new and existing products, as well as buying duties. Your duties will include: - with the design team, presenting product concepts to the director whilst ensuring ideas are in line with the brand strategy - leading product review meetings alongside sales and marketing - working with manufacturers in the Far East to produce prototypes, and managing initial set up - sourcing and evaluating new factories to further develop new and existing products - managing production in line with forecasts/budgets - ensuring all orders are consolidated and shipped on time To be considered for this position, you must have: - experience in a production or buying role - a track record of dealing with factories in the Far East - a degree (or equivalent) Additionally, as a Buying & Production Manager you will need to demonstrate a strong awareness of product/market trends, excellent communication skills and the ability to stick to briefs and meet deadlines. Whilst not essential, experience in the toys, gifts and/or gadgets industry would be a distinct advantage to your application.
