As a small and friendly software
consultancy, our client specialises in Java web based solutions for the mobile
telecoms sector. Founded in 2002, they provide a range of services including
development, application support and code maintenance, and software
architectural consultancy. An opportunity has now arisen for a Java Developer or
Java Programmer to join the business as a Java/J2EE Support Developer.
In this role you'll join a team where members perform a range of
functions including 3rd line application support and application code
maintenance.
As a Java/J2EE Support Developer your role will focus on
supporting critical enterprise applications for a large customer. Your
activities will include diagnosing faults, discussing requirements with
customers, re-programming or refactoring defective code and running maintenance
releases with the satisfaction of delivering solutions to the
customer.
To be considered for this position you must have:

Experience of coding Java/J2EE web applications using Java, HTML, JSP, Struts,
SQL, PL/SQL, XML
- Excellent English communication skills
Familiarity
with any of the following would be beneficial to your application: Unix shell
scripting, Weblogic application server, Tibco, JMS messaging, Oracle database.
