Mechanical Design Engineer Nottingham £23,000 - £30,000+ DOE Plus Pension Scheme (after qualifying period) As a specialist engineering company, our client provides innovative machinery and production system solutions for the automotive, engineering, food and brewing industries. An opportunity has now arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. This role would suit an experienced designer or draughtsperson with experience of designing special purpose machinery, to further develop their career with a growing company. As a Mechanical Design Engineer you'll be responsible for developing mechanical designs in 3D and 2D that will enable our client's assembly team to build reliable machines for customers around the world. This will involve working on a variety of projects, designing bespoke and custom built machines. As such, you'll be provided with ample scope to develop your skill set, working with an expert team. To be considered for this position, you must have experience in the following: - designing special purpose machines, assembly systems, robot cells or production machinery - using pneumatics, electric drives and good machine design principles - working in a drawing office, producing work to deadlines in a fast paced environment Whilst not essential, the ideal Mechanical Design Engineer will also have completed an apprenticeship or will hold a degree (or equivalent).
