Senior Buyer - Online Retail / Innovative Gifts London N10 £37,500 - £40,000 DOE Our client is the UK's leading gift experience company, offering an unrivalled portfolio of high quality, unforgettable and inspirational gift ideas. An opportunity has now arisen for a Senior Buyer to join their team. This exciting role would suit an experienced buyer with a track record within an online B2C retail environment, looking to further develop their career with the most recognisable brand in the gift experience industry. As the Senior Buyer you'll be responsible for the day to day management and motivation of a team of Experience Buyers and Junior Experience Buyers in order to drive forward the entire product range. You will manage a number of key accounts yourself, and will be required to analyse sales data in order to identify product development opportunities and improve supplier relationships. You will work as part of the Product Department, which is tasked with researching, developing and driving forward the company's product range and for creating profitable, exclusive and innovative gifts and experiences, such as hot air balloon rides, rally driving days and weekend breaks. Your duties will include: - working with the Head of Department to establish team targets and objectives - day to day management of the team, ensuring they hit specified booking, revenue and margin targets - product development - sourcing and negotiating promotional offers from suppliers - analysing and optimising the company's online product offering and placement in order to maximise bookings and up-sell rates - ensuring all suppliers have the capacity to handle anticipated booking volumes To be considered for this position, you will be a Buyer with experience in an online B2C retail environment. In addition to a strong track record of people management, you will also need to demonstrate strong negotiation skills coupled with excellent business acumen. Additionally, as the Senior Buyer you should be a good problem solver with strong analytical skills and thorough attention to detail. A good level of computer literacy and willingness to travel are also needed. Whilst not essential, good knowledge of the UK leisure market would be beneficial to your application.
